This creamy vanilla satin is a mid to light weight, beautifully crisp, ideally suited for steampunk, fantasy, or cosplay costuming. Polyester satin is not historically accurate for anything prior to the 1920’s, but would work beautifully for Steampunk, Victoriana fantasy, 1920’s or 1930’s historical dress, Diesel Punk, or cosplay creations.
Damask Raven specializes in fabrics that are historically accurate, but really, EVERYTHING is historically accurate when put in the right context. Polyester is inaccurate for Victorian, but works beautifully for Steampunk and is spot on for for the roaring ’20s. And of course, fantasy and cosplay has no boundaries for what is appropriate. Maybe you want to be a Fairy or Pixy at the next Con you attend, and this little wisp of fabric, at just one yard long, would perfectly create the flirty skirt you want. Creamy Vanilla Satin can be used to create anything your vision can design. Be a villain, be a princess, be a dancer…Let your imagination roam while determining the best use for your Creamy Vanilla Satin.
1 yard, 44 inch wide, poly/acrylic blend. This is slightly lighter than the other creamy vanilla satin which is why they are being sold as separate products, as the different weights make piece work with difficult.
